No time stamp has been defined for uplink ADS messages in this section whereas section 2.4.2 of ADS-P Manual part III says: 'time stamping will be available for all messages. Assigned SME: Sub-Volume II SME Proposed SARPs amendment: SME Recommendation to CCB: WITHDRAWN ADSP recognised (Brisbane meeting) that the requirement in the manual is ambiguous. There is no requirement mandating to have the timestamp sent along the line with the ADS messages. Timestamps generated and stored locally in the a/c and in the ground may be sufficient. Therefore there is no inconsistency between the ICAO Manual and the SARPs. The author withdraws the PDR. CCB Decision: CCB-2 (Langen): SUBMITTED atnp_ccb_chair: ACCEPTED (22/09/97)
