Title: FIS - T-LI-1 timer expiration PDR Reference: 97080009 Originator Reference: FISTLI1 SARPs Document Reference: FIS SARPs, Section 2.4.5.3.12 Table 2.4.5-10/a Status: ADOPTED PDR Revision Date: 22/09/97 (SUBMITTED -> ACCEPTED) 22/09/97 (ACCEPTED -> PROPOSED) 20/10/97 (PROPOSED -> RESOLVED) PDR Submission Date: 18/08/97 Submitting State/Organization: ATNP / WG3 / SG2 Submitting Author Name: Picard, F Submitting Author E-mail Address: picard_frederic@stna.dgac.fr Submitting Author Supplemental Contact Information: ph 33 5 62 14 55 33 fx 33 5 62 14 54 01 SARPs Date: IV1.1, March 97 SARPs Language: English Summary of Defect: The actions taken by the FIS-air-ASE when the t-LI-1 timer expires (i.e. when the D-END confirmation is not received) is not described in the textual description of the FIS protocol (2.4.5.3.12). The actions indicated in the state table (table 2.4.5-10/a) in that case are incorrect. If the defect is not corrected, SARPs compliant implementations will locked up on expiration of the timer. Assigned SME: Sub-Volume II SME Proposed SARPs amendment: Add a new section as follows: 2.4.5.3.12.17 Upon receipt of an indication that the t-LI-1 timer has expired, then 2.4.5.3.12.17.1 If in LI-END-I state, the LI module shall: a) invoke the D-ABORT request primitive with the abstract value "user" as the Originator parameter, b) enter the LI-IDLE state. Note- the originator parameter is meanlingless in that case since both FIS-users are not active anymore. The entry (t-LI-1,LI-END-I) in table 2.4.5-10/a must be changed accordingly.
