Title: CPDLC - Routing Class Must Be ATC PDR Reference: 97100014 Originator Reference: ROUTE SARPs Document Reference: CPDLC SARPs 2.3.5 Status: ADOPTED PDR Revision Date: 20/10/97 (SUBMITTED -> ACCEPTED -> PROPOSED) 28/10/97 (RESOLVED) PDR Submission Date: 06/10/97 Submitting State/Organization: WG3/SG2 Submitting Author Name: Hamelink, J Submitting Author E-mail Address: jhamelin@adsystech.com Submitting Author Supplemental Contact Information: Tel: 1 301 589 3434 x114 Fax: 1 301 589 9254 SARPs Date: IV1.1, March 97 SARPs Language: English Summary of Defect: Since the Class of Communication is always indicated to the user in air/ground CPDLC-start indications, and the SARPs only specify a relationship between Class of Communication and Routing Class for ATSC routes. To enable the ASE to provide the Class of Communication the Routing Class must be ATSC. Failure to make this change leaves the SARPs technically wrong in that no actions are described when the Routing Class is not ATSC. Assigned SME: Sub-Volume II SME Proposed SARPs amendment: 1. Change 2.3.5.3.2.1 from: Upon receipt of a D-START indication, if the CPDLC-air-ASE is in the IDLE state and the D-START User Data parameter contains a GroundPDUs [UplinkMessage] APDU, and the D-START QOS Priority parameter has the abstract value "high priority flight safety message" and the D-START QOS Residual Error Rate parameter has the abstract value "low", the CPDLC-air-ASE shall: To: Upon receipt of a D-START indication, if the CPDLC-air-ASE is in the IDLE state and the D-START User Data parameter contains a GroundPDUs [UplinkMessage] APDU,and the D-START QOS Priority parameter has the abstract value "high priority flight safety message" and the D-START QOS Residual Error Rate parameter has the abstract value "low", and the Routing Class parameter has one of the abstract values specified in Table 2.3.6-1, the CPDLC-air-ASE shall: 2. Change section 2.3.5.4.6.1 from: If a D-STARTindication QOS Priority parameter does not have the abstract value of "high priority flight safety message" or if the QOS Residual Error Rate parameter does not have the abstract value of "low", the CPDLC-air-ASE shall: To: If a D-STARTindication QOS Priority parameter does not have the abstract value of "high priority flight safety message" or if the QOS Residual Error Rate parameter does not have the abstract value of "low", or the QOS Routing Class parameter does not have one of the abstract values specified in Table 2.3.6-1, the CPDLC-air-ASE shall: 3. Change section 2.3.5.5.2.1 from: Upon receipt of a D-START indication, if the CPDLC-ground-ASE is in the IDLE state, and the abstract value of the D-START Calling Peer ID parameter is a 24-bit aircraft address, and the D-START User Data parameter contains an AircraftPDUs [StartDownMessage] APDU with the APDU-element mode "cpdlc", and the D-START QOS Priority parameter has the abstract value "high priority flight safety message" and the D-START QOS Residual Error Rate parameter has the abstract value "low", the CPDLC-ground-ASE shall: To: Upon receipt of a D-START indication, if the CPDLC-ground-ASE is in the IDLE state, and the abstract value of the D-START Calling Peer ID parameter is a 24-bit aircraft address, and the D-START User Data parameter contains an AircraftPDUs [StartDownMessage] APDU with the APDU-element mode "cpdlc", and the D-START QOS Priority parameter has the abstract value "high priority flight safety message" and the D-START QOS Residual Error Rate parameter has the abstract value "low", or the QOS Routing Class parameter does not have one of the abstract values specified in Table 2.3.6-1, the CPDLC-ground-ASE shall: 4. Change section 2.3.5.5.2.2 from: Upon receipt of a D-START indication, if the CPDLC-ground-ASE is in the IDLE state, and the abstract value of the D-START Calling Peer ID parameter is a 24-bit aircraft address, and the D-START User Data parameter contains an AircraftPDUs [StartDownMessage]APDU with the APDU-element mode "dsc", and the D-START QOS Priority parameter has the abstract value "high priority flight safety message" and the D-START QOS Residual Error Rate parameter has the abstract value "low", the CPDLC-ground-ASE shall: To: Upon receipt of a D-START indication, if the CPDLC-ground-ASE is in the IDLE state, and the abstract value of the D-START Calling Peer ID parameter is a 24-bit aircraft address, and the D-START User Data parameter contains an AircraftPDUs [StartDownMessage]APDU with the APDU-element mode "dsc", and the D-START QOS Priority parameter has the abstract value "high priority flight safety message" and the D-START QOS Residual Error Rate parameter has the abstract value "low", or the QOS Routing Class parameter does not have one of the abstract values specified in Table 2.3.6-1, the CPDLC-ground-ASE shall: 5. Change section 2.3.5.6.6.1 from: If a D-STARTindication QOS Priority parameter does not have the abstract value of "high priority flight safety message" or if the QOS Residual Error Rate parameter does not have the abstract value of "low", the CPDLC-ground-ASE shall: To: If a D-STARTindication QOS Priority parameter does not have the abstract value of "high priority flight safety message" or if the QOS Residual Error Rate parameter does not have the abstract value of "low", or the QOS Routing Class parameter does not have one of the abstract values specified in Table 2.3.6-1, the CPDLC-ground-ASE shall: SME Recommendation to CCB: - CCB Decision: atnp_ccb_chair: ACCEPTED (20/10/97) CCB-3: RESOLVED
