Summary of Defect:  

The abstract syntax of the FlightID type wrongly includes the beaconCode (SSR Mode A Code) component. This PDR has to be read in conjunction with PDR 97100033 (item #6).

Proposed SARPs amendment:

1/ In 3.2.7.1.1, in the abstract syntax of the FlightID type, delete the beaconCode component, and renumber sequentially the following components.

2/ In 3.2.7.1.1, in the abstract syntax of the CoordinateUpdate message (AIDC Message Definitions), insert after the destination component the following component:

beaconCode		[3]	BeaconCode	OPTIONAL,

and renumber sequentially the following components.
